This allows our program to offer the “best of both worlds” to our residents by providing the educational scope of a tertiary referral center within the supportive, personalized setting of a community hospital. Our location in the city of Charlotte, NC, and our place within the large Carolinas Healthcare System network offer our learners a wealth of clinical material and case mix diversity. Our residency training program is defined by a focus on clinical medicine, a commitment to underserved care, and a culture of teaching and mentorship. Our program features a strong foundation in general internal medicine, but our comprehensive curriculum and abundant opportunities for scholarship allow for tremendous flexibility in a resident's chosen career path.
