And would it be correct to say, ARCGIS is pretty much like google earth? Or im underestimating? I'd like to expand on the answer that surfingbraun gave. He is absolutely correct in saying that GIS is an information database which is applied spatially such as on a map. However, Google Earth is a product of this process.
