I applied these LUT's in Davinci without any further processing or correction to the image to give an idea of the different looks attibuted to them. I have never tried it so it would need to be tested.

DP Art Adams recently did some video tests comparing gamut vs gamut3 and there were differnences in color in the output. I have to imagine that alone might contribute some different, and not sure if the LC709A LUT has the color transform necessary to bring images from each gamut to the same place. As always I would suggest you setup a simple test with some flowers, a model (skin tone) and macbeth color chart and try both. The matrix settings inside Custom mode include one called (Sgamut3.Cine-Like). If you shoot SLog3 in Custom mode, and that gamut really is 'like' Sgamut3.Cine is for EI mode, then the Sony 3D output lut (Slog3_Sgamut3.Cine to LC709A) should work the same in post for footage shot in EI or Custom mode. And I think it is close.

It was hard to be absolutely certain as I was shooting outdoor footage at dusk, so the light was changing, and I was making exposure changes as well. I was using LC709A look as an Mlut on the F55 for setting exposure. The noise if there was any, was minuscule at most in EI mode.
